He received commissions from the aristocrats of the time and even from George V, King of Hanover, so his works came to decorate famous palaces in Germany. Becoming renowned for his paintings, he also attracted the attention of Prince Carol I of Hohenzollern.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCarol gathered documentary painters to depict his travels through the country or on battlefields.
