Dimitrie Berea (1908–1975) was a Romanian painter with an international career, known for the elegance of his portraits and his luminous landscapes, inspired by the great cities of Europe and America. Trained in the Romanian school of the early 20th century and perfected in the Mediterranean and Parisian environments, Berea refined a pictorial language situated between late Impressionism and lyrical Post-Impressionism, with decorative accents.
