Marian Condruz

Marian Condruz (b. 1956, Romania) is a contemporary Romanian painter renowned for his lyrical universe, rigorously and sensitively constructed around the landscape. A graduate of the "Nicolae Grigorescu" Institute of Fine Arts in Bucharest, Condruz established himself through meditative painting, in which reality is filtered through emotion, time, and memory.
His landscapes, far from being mere descriptive representations, become inner spaces – silent, almost sacred – where light, color, and pictorial matter suggest states, nuances of the soul, and latent tensions. His remarkable visions of Venice also fall into this category; he depicts the city not as a tourist destination, but as a place of dreams and reflection.
