Alphonse Mucha

Alphonse Mucha, born in 1860 in Moravia (present-day Czech Republic), is an iconic artist of the Art Nouveau movement, known for his elegant and decorative posters that defined the style of an entire era. His work is characterized by delicate, curved lines and elaborate ornamental details, often depicting beautiful women in graceful poses, surrounded by flowers and botanical motifs.

Mucha became famous in Paris at the end of the 19th century, when his posters for actress Sarah Bernhardt captivated the public and defined the Art Nouveau aesthetic. His works were not limited to posters; he also created paintings, illustrations, jewelry, and interior designs, all reflecting his distinctive style.
