EXHIBITIONS

1. In 1930, the work was exhibited at the Gesellschaft der Freunde junger Kunst (GdFjK) exhibition in Braunschweig, entitled Künstler bei der Arbeit (Artists at Work). This exhibition was part of a series of events dedicated to promoting contemporary artists exploring new directions in art. Segal, a Romanian-Jewish artist associated with avant-garde movements such as Dada and Expressionism, was recognized for his unique style, in which he often divided the canvas into geometric fields, reflecting his research into optical effects and simultaneous perspectives.

During this period of his career, Segal was deeply involved in the activities of the Novembergruppe in Berlin, and his works emphasized the idea of "equality of all phenomena," giving equal attention to each element of the composition. The GdFjK exhibition in Braunschweig was an important platform to bring these innovative ideas to a wider audience.

2. The work was featured in the memorial exhibition Künstler bei der Arbeit, dedicated to the artist Arthur Segal, which took place in London in 1945 and was one of the most significant retrospectives of the work of this important painter of Romanian origin.

The exhibition was specifically dedicated to the creative aspects of his career, focusing on how he worked and the innovative techniques he used. This was a posthumous tribute to Segal, who passed away in 1944.

The exhibition's theme focused on presenting artists in the creative process, emphasizing the idea that art is not just the final result, but also a living and intense process of creation. Some of the exhibited works focused on social and spiritual themes, reflecting Segal's interests in morality, pacifism, and a harmonious lifestyle. Also presented, in addition to the current work, were Cubist, Fauvist, and Dadaist works, along with other artistic experiments from his later period.

Due to the historical context of the period (the end of World War II), the exhibition served as a commemoration of an artist who not only produced outstanding visual works but also championed ethical and humanitarian values ​​in art.

3. The work participated in the exhibition Temporal Harmonies - From Classical to Contemporary in Visual Art, Noblesse Palace, Bucharest, March 26, 2025.
