French mantel clock set (garniture de cheminée) from the late 19th – early 20th century, comprising a clock with a statuette and a pair of matching candelabras. The case is made of onyx/alabaster (marbre onyx) in warm honey tones, with gilded metal ornamental applications (Louis XV revival style).

Above the clock is a figurative statuette depicting a young hunter/poacher, with the title "BRACONNIER", signed "Aug. Moreau" on the base.

The clock is equipped with a French "Pendule de Paris" movement, with the Japy Frères stamp ("PARIS" mark in a horseshoe) on the backplate. Enamelled dial with Arabic numerals and cut-out hands.
