Obverse description: Christ Pantocrator depicted frontally, seated on a high-backed, richly ornamented throne. Christ has a cross nimbus, pallium, and colobium, holding a book in his left hand and blessing with his right hand. All within a double beaded circle.
Reverse description: Legend arranged circularly around the edge. Centrally, the bust of Michael VII depicted frontally, wearing a cruciform diadem with pendilia and loros. In his right hand he holds a labarum, in his left a globus cruciger. Double outer beaded circle.
