First edition of this translation. Ovid wrote "Epistulae ex Ponto" (Letters from the Black Sea) during his exile in Tomis. "The Epistles" are a continuation of his "Tristia" (Sorrows), in which he laments the injustice of his exile.
Camillo Camilli published numerous writings, mostly translations, in Venice between 1583 and 1607.
