Sandu Darie (1906, Roman - 1991, Havana, Cuba) was a Romanian artist, initially trained as a lawyer, who had contact with the Romanian avant-garde, especially with the poet Stephan Roll and his wife, the painter Medi W. Dinu. He moved to Cuba in 1941, amidst the rise of Nazism, and became an essential member of the Cuban avant-garde.
A key figure in the Concrete Art movement in Latin America, Sandu Darie is credited with bringing modern Cuban art to an international level.
